THANKS TO ALL

I wanted to take this time to thank all of you who have participated on the BAF board during the past six. I am still a relative newbie compared to most on this board and I am greatful for all the info that you have shared. Yesterday my insurance company confirned that I qualified after my 6 month preop program and that they will indeed pay for my Verticle Sleeve WLS . I am scheduled to have surgery on April 13th. When I first came on OH the first place I came to was to BAF. I am extremly greatful to everyone of the veterans who posted different WLS topics that helped me to learn what WLS was about and what to expect and how to deal with it all. I have to admit that even with the comorbidities that I have that I was very skeptical about being cut. But after reading many stories about people who are just like me I calmed down and allowed myself to become more educated about WLS and everything that comes with it. There is no question in my mind that all of you have helped me tremendously over the last 6 months whether you know it or not. I have to also admit that I havent been on BAF as much as I should because i have spent the majority of my time lurking around the surgical boards to get insight as to what surgery would be best for me in my situation. Obesity Help.com as a whole has been the best source of information for anyone considering WLS in my opinion. I will never forget that my journey started right her on BAF. Everyone that I have met on BAF was extremly helpful to me especially in the beggining where I knew next to nothing .Thanks for all the help and I wish you all continued sucess in your personal wieght loss journeys.  Have a great day .

Sweetie, congrats on getting your date!!!!  I know this has been a rough journey for you and you have had a lot to deal with, but you hung on and for that, I'm proud of you!!  I can't wait to see your success! 

Thanks Brenda . Yes things have been rough on me healthwise actually for the past few years. But as you know when I first came on BAF your profile was one of the first that I read. I learned quickly that you and others have had major obstacles in the way but you kept moving foward even after being knocked back. I truly gained further inspiration to keep fighting thru all obstacles and it helped me so much to see others like you who fought a hard fight to get what you needed. I will definatly keep you posted. :)

Thank you so much. I truly apreciate the support. Things are moving fast now and I feel I am ready for this. I couldnt say that if it wasnt  for all the the great support and info that all of you on BAF and OH provide. To me its the best . Thanks so much again

Thank you so much. I am a bit nervous but at the same time I am very much looking forward to being a post op person for a change. I know I really should participate  more often on BAF but sometimes I feel I dont have much to contribute. Perhaps that will change once I am post op. When I first came on the boards I asked a few questions and everyone was very helpful towards me. I would love in the future to help a newbie or 2 the same way you all have helped me. Its only right that I do that and that would bring me pleasure to share my post op experiences with someone *****ally may need support and guidance  the way I did in the beggining.

You are really such a sweet guy! Wished there were more like you in my area! You helped me in so many ways and have been so supportive of me privately; I am wishing you the best in your upcoming surgery and I wish you a safe and uneventful surgery, I think you made a great surgery choice, I hear a lot of people are really happy with the VSG, less maintenance and good weight loss. Again I am wishing you the best 

Wow that was a great message to recieve. I trully appreciate your support and well wishes for an uneventful surgery. I can only hope to have the same success that you and Brenda and others have had in terms of wieght loss. I know a lot of things didnt come easy for you in life and that is why I supported you 100 percent when you were going thru certian things. My hopes for you are that you continue to stay happy and focused on yourself and not on haters that try to bring you down. This board is about support and you and Brenda were 2 of the first ones to show me some love here. It was apleasure a couple months ago to see that you were both honored at the same time by OH. Keep up the good work .......it shows.
